How does Insulinecanada.ca sell prescription medications so cheaply?

We’re able to keep our prices low by removing layers of cost between the manufacturer and the end consumer (you). By ordering directly from the manufacturer, we are able to cut out several levels of middlemen, and as an online pharmacy we aren’t burdened with the heavy overhead costs of traditional brick-and-mortar retail chains. The end result is that we are able to secure our products at a lower cost than our competitors and pass the savings on to you.

Where are the medications sold by Insulinecanada.ca made?

While the majority of our manufacturers are located within Canada and United States, some are headquartered overseas. We only work with trusted, approved manufacturers, including Teva, Watson, Sandoz, Apotex, Mylan, Dr. Reddy’s, and Cobalt. If you ever have questions about the origins of a manufacturer, please contact our Customer Support at [email protected]. We only sell products which are FDA-approved and legal for sale in Canada the United States.

My prescription was sent in. Why don’t I see it on my account?

How do you handle controlled drugs?

As a fully licensed and regulated pharmacy, we are able to dispense controlled substances with a valid prescription. However, this process is a little more rigorous than other prescription orders. Please note that we do need the patient’s social security number or driver’s license number to verify the identity of the patient.

We do not fill Schedule II controlled substances.

For all other controlled substances (Schedule III, IV, and V), patients cannot under any circumstances fax a prescription to us for these medications. The original physical, hard copy prescription must be mailed to us, or the prescribing doctor may fax us a prescription directly from the office or may provide the prescription information over the telephone with one of our pharmacists.

For Schedule III, IV, and V controlled substances, we cannot dispense more than a 90 day supply at a time and max of 180 day supply per prescription, including refills. Various state laws may further limit these guidelines. Please contact our pharmacy directly for additional information or concerns.

Why do you need my social security number or driver’s license number to purchase controlled substances?

Because controlled substances are habit forming, we have the responsibility to ensure that each prescription for a controlled substance is being filled by the person it was prescribed to. Your social security number or driver’s license number is only used to verify your identity, and is securely handled by our licensed pharmacists.

What if Insulinecanada.ca doesn’t carry the prescription I’m looking for?

Give our Customer Support a [email protected] Though we may not currently carry the product you are looking for, we may be able to add it to our active inventory. Our Customer Support will pass your request to our Purchasing Team, and we will contact you with availability and pricing information.

Why doesn’t Insulinecanada.ca accept insurance, Medicare, or Medicaid?

Our goal is to cut out the middlemen and pass on the savings to our customers. Insurance companies are one of those middlemen that cause inflation within the pharmaceutical industry. By not accepting Insurance, we are able to sell medication at incredible prices. Our costs are so low that prescriptions are often less expensive than standard co-pays for the same medication.

In fact, many customers choose to pay out of pocket and then process insurance claims themselves. This allows those customers to take advantage of our great pricing, and still receive reimbursement from the insurance company. Please speak to your insurance provider for more information.

What is your refund policy?

All over-the-counter products are covered by our 90-day return policy. Products must be returned in their original packaging and original condition. However, if you’re unsatisfied with your over-the-counter purchase, please contact our Customer Support  and any of our representatives can assist you.

We are prohibited by law from accepting returns for prescription drugs. For more information on how to dispose of old or unnecessary medication, consult the FDA guidelines.

We are prohibited by law from accepting returns for prescription drugs. For more information on how to dispose of old or unnecessary medication, consult the FDA guidelines.
